Biography

ACU head coach Jason Copeland praises Callahan as probably being the best athlete he's coached while at ACU. Callahan is expected to be an offensive threat at shooting guard for ACU as well as playing at the point. He has one year of eligibility remaining after transferring from NCAA Division I Morehead State. Played one year at Morehead State after transferring from Hill College in Hillsboro. 2006-07 (Morehead State): Callahan played in 28 games for the Eagles with 12 starts. He averaged 7.1 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. 2004-05, 2005-06 (Hill College): Callahan played two years at Hill College. He averaged 20.8 points and 6.8 assists per game as a sophomore at Hill. Against conference competition, he averaged 16.4 points, 6.8 assists, 5.2 rebounds and 1.2 steals while hitting 52 percent from 3-point range and 78 percent from the free-throw line. He also earned second team all-conference honors his sophomore year. High School: A four-year letterwinner for coach Rick Menasco at Irving MacArthur High School. Callahan averaged 16.4 points, 5.4 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game during his senior year to earn first team all-district, second team all-region, honorable mention all-state, and the Offensive Player of the Year for his district.
