Manning is listed as a backup wide receiver to all-Lone Star Conference South Division receiver Jerale Badon going into the 2007 season. Manning played as a true freshman in 2004 before sitting out the 2005 season.
2006 (Sophomore): Finished the season with seven catches for 134 yards and three touchdowns off the bench. He had a 13-yard touchdown catch against Eastern New Mexico on Sept. 30, and then had touchdown catches in each of ACU's games at West Texas A&M. On Oct. 19, Manning had three catches for 48 yards and a touchdown, and then had two catches for 53 yards and a score in the Nov. 18 NCAA Division II playoff game.
2004 (Freshman): Finished the season with one catch for 30 yards, that a TD catch in the season-ending 29-19 loss to Midwestern State.
High school: As a senior, he caught 23 passes for 370 yards and eight touchdowns, earning first team all-District 16-4A honors.
Personal: Uncle of ex-Wildcat and current Chicago Bear, Danieal Manning. Born 02 July 1986. 2004 graduate of Corsicana High School.
