Enters the season as a backup defensive lineman after redshirting in 2005 and sitting out 2006.

High school: Hall was a key cog on Abilene Wylie's 2004 Class 3ADivision I state championship team. During their run to the state championship, the Bulldogs (12-3) beat three undefeated teams and the No. 2 team in the state in Decatur (14-13) with a goal-line stand in the Region I-3A quarterfinals. Wylie then beat No. 1-ranked Cuero 17-14, with a final-play field goal. As a senior, Hall had 73 tackles (38 solo and seven for a loss). He was a first team all District 4-3A linebacker.
