Biography
Could battle returning starter Matt Adams for the placekicking job after transferring to ACU from College of the Siskiyous in California. Transferred to ACU to play baseball after an all-conference baseball season last year at Siskiyous. Went to Oregon State out of high school as a placekicker and was red-shirted as a freshman in 2004. Then transferred to Siskiyous where he played football and baseball last season. 2005-06 (College of the Siskiyous): As a freshman placekicker, O'Neill connected on 8 of 13 field goal attempts and 23 of 24 extra-point attempts on his way to first team all-Mid Empire Conference honors. He was also a first team all-Grand Valley Conference outfielder as he led the league in hitting at .444. He had 64 hits and scored 24 runs while driving in 27 runs to go along with 12 doubles, four triples, one home run and nine stolen bases. High school: As a senior at South Medford High School, he was 9 for 11 in field goal attempts, and he hit all 30 of his extra-point attempts to help his team finish 10-1. The valedictorian of his senior class, O'Neill led South Medford to the Class 4A state championship in soccer in 2004, and he was named the Oregon Athlete of the Year. O'Neill was a three-time all-state baseball player, two-time all-state football player and two-time all-state soccer player. Personal: Born 12 Dec 1985. 2004 graduate of South Medford High School.
