2012 (Freshman): Spent the 2012 season as a redshirt on the Wildcats' roster.

High school: Played at Colleyville Heritage HS for head coach Mike Fuller, a former ACU quarterback. As a senior he was team captain and first team all-District 6-5A after catching 30 passes for 519 yard and five touchdowns. As a junior he caught 12 passes for 143 yards and two scores, and as a sophomore he caught 14 passes for 171 yards and three touchdowns. He was an honorable mention selection as both a junior and senior.
