2025 Cross Country Roster
Biography
2024-2025: Cross Country – an early season bout with sickness caused Vincent to miss
the first three meets of the year, but he came back strong in the championship at
season’s end. He finished 67th at the WAC Championship meet, then would run the
10K distance (the only time during the season for that distance at the South Central
Region Championship meet in College Station – finishing 101st in the field as the #3
ACU finisher. Indoors – competed in 4 indoor meets – placed 4 th in the mile at both the
TTU Red Raider Invitational and the Stan Scott Invitational. He finished the season at
the WAC Indoor Championship by getting 9 th in the finals in the mile run (he was the 3 rd
fastest time in the prelims with a personal best time of 4:13.05). He did score at the
conference meet, when he ran an outstanding opening 1200-meter leg of the distance
medley relay in a split of 3:05.31. Outdoors – competed in 4 meets, highlighted by a 2 nd
place finish in the ACU Wes Kittley Invitational 800 and a 5 th place finish in the 1500 at
the Michael Johnson Invitational at Baylor with a personal best time of 3:53.90. Finished
the year with a 14 th place finish in the 1500 at the WAC Outdoor Championship at UTA.
Before ACU: Vincent had a good HS career running for the Bearcats of Aledo HS, with his greatest
accomplishments on the track. As a senior, he had to rehab an injury for the entire XC season and eased
into competition on the track, yet he narrowly missed going to the state meet as he placed 4 th in the
1600 and 5 th in the 800 at the Region 1-5A meet. During his junior year, he placed 4 th in the District 5-5A
XC meet and in the spring, he dominated the District 5-5A meet in the distances, winning both the 1600
and 3200 and placing 2 nd in the 800. At the Region 1-5A meet, he missed going to the state meet by the
narrowest of margins as he placed 3 rd in the 800. That same year, he placed 9 th in the 1600 at the TTFCA
Meet of Champions in a loaded field, running his PR at that distance. As a sophomore, Vincent placed 3 rd
in both the 1600 and 3200 at the District 5-5A meet and same year he ran on a 4x800 relay that holds
the Aledo school record. Vincent finished his HS career with PR’s of 52.15 in the 400, 1:55.79 in the 800,
4:18.35 in the 1600 and 9:37.76 in the 3200.
Personal: Vincent graduated from Aledo HS in 2024 having taken 9 Advanced Placement classes. He was
active in volunteer service in the Young Men’s Service League and the Student Leadership Team, as well
as at his home church – Christ Chapel Bible Church-West Campus. He plans to major in Kinesiology at
ACU. Vincent’s parents are David and Alicia Luffy and he has 2 brothers – Nolan and Cason.
