Biography

Before ACU: Sidney enjoyed an outstanding athletic career at Brownwood HS. She topped off a stellar career as a senior winning the District 6-4A T&F meet in the 1600 and 3200, before going on to finish 4 th in both races at the Region 1-4A meet to just miss a trip to the state in both events. She leaves Brownwood HS as the school record holder at both distances – a 5:15.19 in the 1600 and an 11:33.87 in the 3200. During her senior season she also won the Big Country Relays 800 (hosted by the Abilene ISD) in a personal best time of 2:21.45. She also competed indoors and at the Wes Kittley HS Invitational, she placed 16 th in the 3000 meter and her time of 11:41.77 was the #7 best time in 2025 indoors for a Texas high school runner. In the fall of her senior year, she won the District 6-4A XC title and finished 15 th at the UIL State XC meet with a time of 11:54.6 – a Brownwood HS record time – earning TGCA All-State. In her junior year, she won the 800 and 1600 at the District 6-4A championship, before placing 5 th in the 800 at the Region I-4A meet. As a junior, she also won the district XC title and qualified for the UIL state XC meet for the first time. By the conclusion of her tenure at BHS, she won 7 district titles combined in XC and T&F. She also was an Academic All-Stater in both XC and T&F and the recipient of the Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete Award.

Personal: Sidney also crafted an academic career at BHS that rivaled her athletic career. She was a Summa Cum Laude graduate and the Salutatorian for BHS. She received academic awards in Advanced Math, Science, English, History, Language Other than English, and CNA. At ACU, she plans to major in Biomedical Science, with a goal of attending medical school. Her parents are Jeffrey and Whitney Windham and she has 2 brothers – Bennett and Leverett. Her cousin, Mia Reaugh, a graduate of Lucas Lovejoy HS, will compete for Brown University in Rhode Island on their T&F team starting this coming season.. Sidney has also been active in the Nursery ministry at her home church of Coggin Avenue Baptist.
