Before ACU
Competing for the Texans of Wimberley HS, Madison had to fight through a series of stress fractures during her last two years of high school. But, in her freshman and sophomore years, she showed great promise – going to the UIL state 4A XC meet both years, placing 77th in 2021 and 41st in 2022. On the track, she just missed going to state when she placed 3rd in the Region IV-4A 800 as a freshman and 6th in the Region IV-4A 800 as a sophomore. Madison was Varsity XC Captain and T&F Captain all 4 years of HS.

Personal

During HS she was a member of the National Honor Society; Academic All-District all 4 years of HS, and Academic All-State in 2023. She is a Nursing major at ACU. Her parents are Matthew and Kelley Anderson. Madison has 2 sisters – Trinity and Tinsley – and 2 brothers – Tytus and Hutch. Her Father, Matthew, started 35 games at center for the University of Texas Longhorn football team and played for the Miami Dolphins, Houston Texans, and Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL. While at Wimberley, Madison received numerous community scholarships: Love Like Logan Scholarship, Wimberley Civic Club Scholarship, Texan Car Wash Scholarship, Academic Booster Club Scholarship and the Wimberly Mason Lodge Scholarship. Madison has also been an active volunteer at her home church, Cypress Creek Church.

Why did you choose ACU? I chose ACU because I fell in love with everything about it! With the gorgeous campus, the kind people, chapel, and being surrounded by others who want to pursue Christ daily, cause me to love ACU. After lots of prayer for God to make it obvious which college I should attend, He put ACU on my heart I know it was the best college for me!

What is your favorite thing about ACU? My favorite part of ACU is not only the positive environment, but also how everyone around you wants the best for you, including professors and your peers! It is wonderful to be part of such an amazing school and I love how it also grows my faith in the Lord!
