Biography

2024-2025: Cross Country – Audrey kicked off her ACU career extremely well – she  was the top ACU finisher in the Naimadu Classic in Abilene, and followed that up with two races where she was the #2 finisher for ACU in both the Gerald Richey UTA XC  Invitational (9th place finisher overall) and the Gans Creek Invitational in Columbia, MO. Audrey had her best race of the year at the WAC Championships, running her all-time best time at the 6K distance (22:09), finishing the race as the top ACU finisher, and finishing 31st overall (the 10th best freshman in the race.) She finished 159th in the South Central Region Championship to conclude her XC season. Indoor track – ran in 4 meets for the Wildcats, finishing the season by running the anchor 1600-meter leg on the 8 th place distance medley relay at the WAC Indoor Championship in Spokane, WA. Outdoor track –redshirt year.

Before ACU: Audrey had a storied career at Mountain View HS outside Boise, ID. As a senior at the Idaho 5A (the largest division in Idaho), she placed 4 th in the 1600 and 11 th in the 800. Her best times of the year (which are also PR’s for her in each of these events) put her in the top-10 in the state in each event – 2:16.00 in the 800 for the 9 th best time in the state, 4:59.52 in the 1600 for the 6 th best time in the state, and in placing 15 th at the Oregon Relays in the 1500 in 4:44.58, she had the 4 th best time in Idaho. She was named the Female Athlete of the Year for Mountain View HS as a senior as well. As a junior at the Idaho 5A state meet, she placed 9 th in the 1600 and 14 th in the 800. As a sophomore, she went to state as well, getting 10 th in the Idaho 5A 3200. Audrey qualified for the state XC meet all 4 years of HS, finishing as high as 19 th as a sophomore. She won the outstanding Individual Performance in XC for all
four years as well. She also left Mountain View as the school record holder in the 4x800 relay.

Personal: Audrey graduated from Mountain View HS in the spring of 2024, after receiving the Presidential Award and appearing on the Honor Roll every year of HS. She also appeared on the school’s Homecoming Court in 2021. At ACU, she plans on majoring in International Business-Marketing. Audrey’s parents are Hilary and Lane Chitwood and she has a sister, Natalie, and a brother, Grady. Audrey has also worked as a volunteer for her home church, Valley Shepherd Church of the Nazarene, as well as volunteering at Trinity Pines Summer Camp and Eagle Church of the Nazarene.
