Could be either the Wildcats' No. 1 or No. 2 starter or the closer. Vernon College: Last year as Vernon's closer he finished with a 3-3 record to go along with four saves and a 2.68 ERA. Prior to playing at Vernon, Maj played as a freshman at Treasure Valley Community College (Calif.) where in 65 innings of work he posted a 5-4 record to go along with a 2.35 ERA. High school: four-year letterman who was a first team all-state selection and state Offensive MVP as a senior. He hit .480 with two home runs and 36 RBI as a first baseman in his senior season, leading his team to a 17-5 record. Helped his team win back-to-back state championships in 2003 and 2004 with the 2003 posting a 26-0 record. Personal: Born 22 October 1985. 2004 graduate of Colfax High School.
