Walker is listed as the starter at one of two outside linebacker spots going into the 2007 season.
2006 (Sophomore): Valuable member of the Wildcats' defense, both in a starting and backup role in 2006. Walker finished the season with 20 tackles (eight solo), 1.5 tackles for loss, two fumble recoveries, two pass breakups and two blocked kicks. In ACU's 31-0 win over Southwestern Oklahoma State on Sept. 23, Walker finished with a season-high six tackles (two solo) and one fumble recovery. Both of his blocked kicks came in ACU's regular-season finale against Midwestern State on Nov. 11.
2005 (Freshman): Played in six games as a true freshman and finished with three tackles (two solo).
High school: One of the top defensive players in the Central Texas region in 2004, Walker was an honorable mention Class 4A all-state performer by the Associated Press. Walker recorded 97 tackles, three blocked kicks, two fumble recoveries, one forced fumble and one interception. Was a two-time consensus first team all-District 27-4A selection as both a junior and senior. He was a first team Class 4A all-CenTex region selection by tristatepreps.com as a defensive lineman. He was a second team academic all-state selection. As a sophomore in 2002, played on New Braunfels team that advanced to the Class 4A Division I state title game where it lost, 42-11, to Texarkana.
Personal: Sister, Lauren, was a two-time Class 4A tennis state champion in singles at New Braunfels, and is a former Big 12 singles champion at Texas A&M. Was one of nine athletes in the nation chosen to attend the "Friday Night Lights" premiere in Fall 2004 in Hollywood. Born 22 Sept 1986. 2005 graduate of New Braunfels High School.
