Kutt, Lau Round Out Wildcats’ Roster With Championship Pedigree

ABILENE - Abilene Christian women's golf finalized its 2026-27 roster with a pair of veteran additions, head coach Rob Bennett announced this week. Alana Kutt joins the Wildcats from Daytona State College, while former NAIA PING WGCA Player of the Year Hoi Ki Lau heads to Abilene following two seasons at Florida International.
ACU kicks off the program's fourth season Aug. 31 at Purdue's Boilermaker Classic in West Lafayette, Ind. Kutt and Lau comprise two of the team's three newcomers, joining freshman Kaylee Yuan. Upperclassmen Jiyu Han, Kate Pickrell, Julia Vollmer and Jasmine Do round out the roster.
"Alana and Hoi Ki are coming to ACU with three national championships under their belts, which is going to be huge for our team," Bennett said. "Their experience winning in the biggest moments is going to help us as we compete for a UAC Championship and look to make a run in the NCAA Tournament.
"They are wonderful young women and they will surely make an impact here both on and off the course."
The Wildcats tout one of the strongest strength of schedules in the nation and will compete in tournaments in five states while traveling internationally to the Dominican Republic. ACU makes its debut in the United Athletic Conference after registering four top-three placements last year and placing second at the Western Athletic Conference Championship.
Kutt, a redshirt sophomore, brings championship pedigree after powering Daytona State College to its 12th NJCAA Division I national title last season. The Sarasota, Fla. product earned NJCAA DI First Team All-American honors and finished the year as the No. 2 NJCAA DI women's golfer in the nation, per Clippd.
Kutt placed second individually at the national championship following a first-place showing at the NJCAA District 8 Championship. She totaled four top-10 placements and six top-15 efforts.
Kutt began her collegiate career at Coastal Carolina, where she redshirted her true freshman season. She competed at IMG Academy and in 2023 logged top-10 performances at the FSGA 64th Girls Junior Championship, the AJGA Preview in Conroe, Texas and the FSGA Women's Four-Ball Championship.
Lau touts a stacked trophy case following two years apiece at Florida International and Keiser University. The graduate student was the 2023-24 NAIA PING WGCA Player of the Year at Keiser after capturing the NAIA individual title and fueling the Seahawks to their fifth national championship. Lau was tabbed a two-time First Team WGCA All-American and First Team NAIA All-American.
The Hong Kong, China native was the Sun Conference individual champion both seasons and guided Keiser to a pair of conference titles. Lau is a two-time First Team All-Sun Conference selection after being named the conference's Golfer and Freshman of the Year in 2023. She totaled seven tournament wins and 15 top-five performances at Keiser. Lau was named an Academic All-American by College Sports Communicators in 2024.
Lau was a Second Team All-Conference USA selection in her first season at Florida International in 2025. She placed seventh at the conference championship and carded five top-25 performances and two top-10 efforts. Last year, Lau received the Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal and landed on the Commissioner's Honor Roll.
