Villa Named Men's XC WAC Athlete of the Week

ABILENE – Abilene Christian's Andruw Villa has been named Western Athletic Conference Cross Country Athlete of the Week following his standout performance at last week's meet.

Villa paced the Wildcats with a third-place overall finish at the Gerald Richey UTA Invitational, crossing the line in 15:01.9 on the course. His performance set the tone for ACU, leading the way in a tightly packed group, with the men's team finishing third overall.

Villa will be back in action with the rest of the Wildcats on October 5, with Arkansas hosting the Chile Pepper Festival.
