Box Score ABILENE - The ACU men's tennis finished the home portion of its 2025 season with a 6-1 victory over UT Permian Basin on a sunny Saturday afternoon.
The result pushes the Wildcats' home record to 9-1 this spring.
After losing their first four team matches of the spring to some of the stiffest competition in all of Division I, the Wildcats have won 11 of their 13 matches over the past two months.
ACU's doubles teams started the afternoon strong with victories from
Ethan Scribner /
Alejandro Verdasco, and
Matheus Lima /
Benjamin McDonald.
With the point already secured, the third doubles match was not finished.
In singles competition,
Daniel Morozov, Dennis Dutine and
Tomas Tischner won the number one, two, and three matches.Â
Martin Delnido and McDonald also chipped in victories to finish off the Falcons.
The win was a great cap to the weekend which started with the program's First Serve dinner for alumni, fans and friends on Friday night.
ACU returns to the court on Tuesday, March 25, in Lubbock against Texas Tech. The match, which was postponed a week due to extreme winds, will begin at 5 p.m.
