
Koss Earns Third Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above WAC Setter of the Week Accolade

ARLINGTON, Texas - Abilene Christian volleyball's Rachel Koss was named the Jersey Mike's A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference Setter of the Week for the third time this season, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon. Koss powered the Wildcats to a pair of five-set wins over North Texas and UT Arlington last week.
Koss totaled 67 assists and 14 digs across 10 sets, adding five kills at a .333 clip with a service ace. Three Wildcats have received weekly honors from the WAC this season, doing so on seven occasions. Koss was previously recognized on Sept. 23 and Oct. 7.
Koss is second in the WAC with 8.06 assists per set and 790 total assists. She is ninth with 0.27 aces per set. In conference play, she is second with 6.57 assists per set and fourth with 0.30 aces per set.
The Appleton, Wis. product tallied 39 assists in a reverse sweep win at North Texas on Oct. 29, her sixth match with at least 35 assists this season. The Wildcats totaled 68 digs with a .238 hitting percentage against the Mean Green, who ranked 83rd in the NCAA's RPI. Koss logged three kills of her own at .400 clip to go with an ace and three digs.
Koss recorded her eighth double-double of the season in a 3-2 victory over UT Arlington on Nov. 1, registering 28 assists and 11 digs. She added a couple of kills.
Koss and the Wildcats return to action versus Tarleton State in Stephenville, Texas at 1 p.m. Saturday.
