ARLINGTON, Texas - Abilene Christian volleyball received four postseason honors from the Western Athletic Conference, the league announced Wednesday afternoon. It marks the most All-Conference accolades the Wildcats have earned in the program's Division I era.

Hannah Gonzalez led the way with All-WAC First Team distinction, becoming the first Wildcat to be named to an All-Conference First Team since Katelyn Mueller in the Southland Conference in the 2020-21 season.

Hadlee Welch represented ACU on the All-WAC Freshman Team. It's the first time two Wildcats have been named amongst the top freshmen in the WAC.
ACU kicks off the WAC Tournament in the quarterfinals round versus UT Arlington at 7 p.m. Thursday at Moody Coliseum. The semifinal matchups are at 4 and 7 p.m. Friday, and the conference championship will be at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Gonzalez has stuffed the stat sheet for the Wildcats this season, leading the team in kills (274), hitting percentage (.272), blocks (85.0) and points (341.0). She ranks within the WAC's top 10 for kills (2.51) and points (3.13) per set and attack percentage.
The Lucas, Texas native is the only Wildcat to start each of ACU's 28 matches and is one of three to appear in all 109 sets. Gonzalez has 25 solo blocks, the most in a season in the program's DI history. She has added 12 service aces and 29 digs.
Gonzalez's 341.0 points this season are eighth-most in a season for ACU as a DI program, and her career .255 attack percentage and 2.16 kills per set each rank within the team's top 10. She was named to the All-Tournament teams for the Wildcat Classic and New Orleans/Nicholls Crossover in nonconference play.
Koss emerged as one of the top setters in the conference, ranking second with 860 total assists and 7.89 assists per set. She ranks second on the Wildcats with 26 aces and 222 digs. The Appleton, Wis. product was named the Jersey Mike's A Sub Above WAC Setter of the Week on three occasions, doing so on Sept. 23, Oct. 7 and Nov. 4.
Koss ranks fifth in ACU's DI era with 1,217 career assists, and her 860 assists are the sixth-most in a season. She boasts the conference's two performances with the most assists this season, tallying a program-record 60 at East Texas A&M on Sept. 22 and 57 versus Sam Houston on Sept. 5, the third-most in the team's DI history.
Koss is also responsible for the WAC's two three-set outings with the most assists, recording 37 versus Cal State Fullerton and 36 against Texas Southern, with both matchups coming on Sept. 19.
Ramirez has burst onto the college volleyball scene after redshirting her freshman campaign at Texas in 2024. She paces the WAC in total digs with 440 and is second with 4.04 digs per set. Ramirez's total digs are the fifth-most in a season in the Wildcats' DI record book while adding 112 assists and 23 aces.
Ramirez was a three-time Jersey Mike's A Sub Above WAC Setter of the Week honoree, doing so on Sept. 2, Sept. 23 and Oct. 28. She was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Lamar Invitational.
The Waxahachie, Texas native's 29-dig effort at East Texas A&M featured the second-most digs in the WAC this season, and her five aces versus Southern Utah on Oct. 9 tied for the most in the conference. Ramirez registered three of the WAC's five three-set matches with the most digs.
Welch proved versatile for the Wildcats with 99 kills and 1.41 kills per set in her first season on campus. She had a hand in 30 blocks. Welch's kills are the most by an ACU freshman since
Alexis Strong had 134 in 2023. Her top performance came in an Oct. 18 matchup with Tarleton State, where she totaled 17 kills at a .314 clip with four blocks and five digs.
