ACU Storylines
 
SENIOR WEEKEND: ACU will recognize its seniors this weekend, honoring Randi Davila, Sydney Kaiser, Karli Manney, Avery Miloch, Talia Nielsen, Skylar Padgett and Riley White.
 
DOUBLE STUFF: Abilene Christian ranks seventh in the NCAA with 1.81 doubles per game. The Wildcats also are 14th nationally with 76 doubles this season. The ACU Division I era record was 75, set last season. It was broken when on Catrin Hoffman's second double of the game in the opener with Texas-Arlington last weekend. Olivia Marble broke the single-season individual record this season with her 14th double and teammate Sammie Shelander is right behind her at 12.
 
BENNETT'S BAT: Kaydee Bennett is second in the WAC with a .497 on-base percentage, a .431 batting average and five triples. She's also third with 0.88 runs per game.
 
PARTNERS IN CRIME: ACU is second in the Western Athletic Conference with 1.33 stolen bases per game. Olivia Marble is second in the WAC with 16 stolen bases and Kaydee Bennett is third with 15.
 
GOING YARD: Abilene Christian has 30 home runs this season, led by Avery Miloch with six. The Wildcats are third in the WAC with 0.71 home runs per game.
 
IN THE CIRCLE: ACU enters the series with a 5.36 team earned run average. Lina Russo leads the Cats with a 4.49 earned run average, 70 strikeouts and a .270 opponent batting average.
 
MULTI-HITS: Thirteen ACU players have had two or more hits in a game. Kaydee Bennett leads the team with 19 multi-hit games. Bennett and Olivia Marble have five three-hit games apiece.
 
AGAINST THE WAC: Sammie Shelander leads the Wildcats with a .714 slugging percentage in WAC games. She is batting .413 against the league with eight doubles, a triple and three home runs.
 
LAST SERIES: The Wildcats went 1-2 at home against UT Arlington after losing the first two games on Friday.
 
SERIES IMPACT: Finishing with the top two teams in the WAC standings, ACU is tied for seventh in the WAC with Stephen F. Austin. The Cats own that tiebreaker and SFA has the same opponents remaining. Southern Utah looks primed to make a late move.
 
HISTORY WITH CBU: This will be the first series between ACU and CBU on the softball diamond. Caty Reeves is a 2011 California Baptist graduate and part of that program's 2009 NAIA Championship team.
 
SCOUTING CBU: California Baptist is the best fielding team in the WAC. Kayla Lyon is sixth nationally with 18 doubles. Lyon leads the Lancers with eight home runs and 39 RBIs. CBU is hitting .320 as a team, led by Merissa Borkowski at .400. The Lancers have a 2.94 team earned run average, led by Presley Hosick at 2.49.
 
ON DECK: ACU finishes the regular season with a three-game set at Grand Canyon. The teams meet for a 7:30 p.m. (Central) doubleheader on Friday and finish with a 2 p.m. (Central) contest on Saturday.
