ABILENE – Abilene Christian men's golf takes its team to Payson, Arizona, this weekend for the three-day WAC Tournament.

ACU sends Zane Heusel, Charlie Jackson, Jaime Lewis, Trenton Johnson and Preston Cooper to the tournament with Preston DeFriend accompanying as the alternate.
Heusel leads the group with a stroke average of 72.3. He matched the school and conference records this season with a round of 63 at The Big Texan, where he finished fifth.
Cooper averages 73.4 strokes per round and Jackson checks in at 73.9. Johnson averages 74.1 and Lewis 75.3. DeFriend averages 76.3.
Statistically, the Wildcats are in the middle of the pack among the teams competing this weekend. Grand Canyon is the favorite with a 284.4 strokes per round average. ACU averages 292.7.
The tournament is played at The Golf Club at Chaparral Pines.
