Payton Hull earned Western Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year honors and joined teammate
Bella Earle on the All-WAC second team, the league announced on Monday.
Hull also was listed on the All-Freshman team. The 5-11 guard from Peaster led the WAC with 79 three-pointers this season and led ACU in scoring at 15.3 points per game. Hull also averaged 3.4 rebounds, two assists and 1.62 steals per game. Hull had six games in which she scored 20 or more points, including back-to-back 30-point games against Navy (34) and UT Arlington (31).
Earle, a 5-10 junior guard from Corinth, averaged 12.3 points, a WAC-best 8.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists for the Wildcats. She put together back-to-back triple-doubles against Navy and UT Arlington and is third in the NCAA with those two triple-doubles.
Hull is ACU's first WAC Freshman of the Year as well as the first Freshman of the Year award in any conference since joining NCAA Division I. This is the first time ACU has had multiple All-WAC selections in the same season.
