ACU Storylines
NICE START: Through 20 games, Kaydee Bennett leads the Western Athletic Conference in batting (.475), On-Base Percentage (.515), Slugging (.869) and triples (3). She's also second in stolen bases (9) and home runs (4). Her three triples rank her sixth in the NCAA.
 
CATS DIG THE LONG BALL: Abilene Christian leads the Western Athletic Conference with 0.90 home runs per game (18 on the season).
 
EVERY DAY WE'RE DOUBLIN': The Wildcats are seventh in the NCAA with 39 doubles this season and lead the WAC in that category and with 1.95 doubles per game.
 
LAST GAME: ACU rallied from being behind twice and took a 5-2 road win at Texas-San Antonio last week. The Wildcats had eight hits on the night, led by Kaydee Bennett with three. Catrin Hoffman, Emmy Hornick and Olivia Marble had doubles and Skylar Padgett and Avery Miloch each had a single. Talia Nielsen pitched 4.1 innings in relief for the win, allowing one run. Bubba Rote got the save, striking out three batters in two innings.
 
ON DECK: ACU heads into Western Athletic Conference play this weekend with a trip to Utah Tech. The Wildcats play a 3 p.m. doubleheader on Friday and the getaway game at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
 
About North Texas

• North Texas enters the series at 12-11 after sweeping East Carolina this weekend.
