Martin Delnido scored the decisive win on court five as Abilene Christian gutted out a 4-3 win over Lamar on Friday.
ACU won the doubles point with victories
Benjamin McDonald and
Ethan Scribner winning at No. 2 and
Mihaly Deli and
Merse Deli taking No. 3.
After doubles, ACU was left without the services of both of its usual No. 1 singles entrants but scored wins at No. 2 singles with
Mihaly Deli and at No. 6 with Scribner.
Delnido got the 6-2, 7-6 win for the victory.
ACU returns to action on March 11 at home against Omaha.
