Wildcats to Compete in UH's Border Olympics

ABILENE – Abilene Christian heads to the University of Houston's Border Olympics at the Laredo Country Club on Monday and Tuesday.
ACU and Houston will be joined by Bowling Green, Houston Christian, Illinois State, Lamar, Lipscomb, Miami (Ohio), Michigan, New Mexico State, North Texas, Rice, Sam Houston, Troy, ULM, Western Carolina and Wright State in the 17-team field.
Thomas Buisson, Charlie Jackson, Preston DeFriend, Trenton Johnson and Brian Comegys represent the Wildcats. Buisson comes into the tournament with a stroke average of 73.7, followed by Johnson at 73.,7, Jackson at 73.8, Comegys at 76.6 and DeFriend at 77.3.
ACU is coming off an eighth-place finish at the Los Vaqueros Intercollegiate on Feb. 7.
