Wildcats Head to TCU on Wednesday

ABILENE – Abilene Christian continues its Power-5 stretch of matches on Wednesday when it travels to fourth-ranked Texas Christian for a 5:30 p.m. contest.

The Wildcats are 1-2 after a thrilling 4-3 win at Texas Tech on Sunday. In that match, freshman Merse Deli got the match-clinching victory at No. 5 singles.

ACU also had singles wins at No. 1 by Daniel Morozov and at No. 3 by Cesar Barranquero. The Wildcats took the doubles point at Tech with victories by Dario Kmet and Morozov at No. 1 and Benjamin McDonald and Ethan Scribner at No. 2.

This match will be the season opener for TCU, picked to finish second in the Big 12 after a 26-3 season last year ended in the NCAA semifinals. The Horned Frogs have three singles in the top 30 and three doubles teams in the top 60, including two in the top 15.
