Q&A with running backs coach Jerale Badon
What's the priority for this group?
For the running backs group, it's been about just being consistent. It's been more of just being consistent, getting a grasp of the fundamentals and then letter their talent take over.
You have a talented running back in Jermiah Dobbins. Has he been living up to your preseason expectations?
He has. He's been getting in good reps. He knows how to practice and he's trying to be a leader.
How are the other guys responding to that?
They see how hard he worked last year and they try to emulate that.
Who else is back and ready to make an impact?
Having Rovaughn Banks Jr. back – he was an explosive runner for us last year. Having those two guys back is great for us.
How are the newcomers looking?
Jay'Veon Sunday and Parker Polk are putting in the work they're getting there in their understanding of the offense and the game is slowing down for them.
What are you expecting from this group?
I just want those guys to execute at a high level and play with great violence and vision. I think we have a pretty good group to grow with as we finish out camp and go throughout the season.
