ABILENE – Collegiate Baseball on Thursday honored Abilene Christian's Grayson Tatrow as a third-team All-American.
Tatrow, already with Western Athletic Conference Player of the Year and first-team All-Conference honors in hand, became the first ACU All-American since Luis Trevino in 2019.
"It is great to see Grayson get acknowledged for his record-setting year here at ACU," said ACU Head Coach Rick McCarty. "He put together a remarkable year across the board, but his power production set himself apart from others across the country. His 25 home runs set a new record for our program but also allowed him to finish in the top five of all of DI baseball at the end of the regular season. Grayson will leave a legacy of high performance, but also high character and elite work ethic. It's great to see guys who do so many things right, get rewarded. He helped change the trajectory of our program, I'm thankful he chose to be a Wildcat!"
Tatrow finished the season with 25 home runs, 68 RBIs and a .375 batting average. In addition to those impressive numbers, Tatrow led the team in on-base percentage (.480), slugging (.832), doubles (14), runs (65) total bases (173) and walks (43). He set new school records for single-season and career home runs, single-season slugging, total bases, runs and RBIs.
