SACRAMENTO – Abilene Christian saw two more events finish the season on Thursday with
Zoe Burleson and
Payton Kirk not moving forward in the shot put and long jump.

Kirk, a senior, placed 36
th in the long jump at 5.89 meters for her last collegiate competition.

Burleson was 41
st in the shot put at 14.77 meters.
Â
The ACU men take the state on Friday with
Nathanial Collier throwing the discus at 3 p.m. Central and
Jack Marshall competing in the 200 meters and 9:50 p.m.

Burleson still has the discus remaining on Saturday at 3 p.m. Central and
Ella Anttila closes things out for ACU in Sacramento with the triple jump at 8 p.m.

"It's so bittersweet to see seniors compete in their last event," said ACU Head Coach
Jerrod Cook of Kirk. "As a coach, you wish it could go on forever. But it is so exciting to see them compete and the national preliminary level and to know that there are greater things ahead for them in the next chapter of their lives."
