COLUMBUS, Ohio – Abilene Christian had its best round of Ohio State's Robert Kepler Intercollegiate in the final round, completed Sunday.

The Wildcats fired a 293, which was the second-best final round and just three strokes off the third-round pace of No. 25 Ohio State.

The finish vaulted ACU up to 12
th in the final standings, finishing ahead of Kansa City, Ohio, George Mason, Xavier and Villanova.

Thomas Buisson and
Charlie Jackson both had rounds of 72 on the par-71 course on the final day.
Logan Diomede shot 74,
Brian Comegys had a 75 and
Grégoire Hoyeau finished at 80.

For the tournament, Diomede led the Cats in 30
th place with a 224 at 74-76-74. Jackson was 41
st at 226 (74-81-72) and Buisson checked in at 49
th at 227 (76-79-72). Hoyeau had rounds of 71-80-80 for 231 and Comegys went 80-79-75 for 234.

ACU finished with 27 birdies, led by Buisson with nine. Diomede had seven, Jackson and Hoyeau had four each and Comegys added three.

The Wildcats now turn their attention to the WAC Tournament April 28-30 at Boulder Creek Golf Course in Boulder City, Nev.
