Logan Diomede used two birdies to lead ACU in the second round with a one-over 72. Moving him up to 65th place with a 36-hole total of 156.
Â
"Very pleased with
Logan Diomede's round today," said ACU Head Coach Tom Shaw. "He came back from a tough first round and did exactly the things he needed to do to play well. He played
Logan Diomede type of golf, which is to hit a ton of fairways and greens and have a good short game. That's why he shot as well as he did."
Â
Right behind Diomede at 157 is
Brian Comegys (73-84) with
Zane Heusel (75-83) and Gregoire Hoyeau (81-77) two strokes back at 158 each.
Karson Grigsby had the only other ACU birdie in round two and shot 80 on Monday for a 162- total.
Â
"Once again we struggled with the tee ball for the rest of the players, which reflected in the scores," said Shaw. "We hope to come out strong tomorrow and put forth our best effort for the last round of the tournament, which is the ACU way!"
Â
Top-ranked Vanderbilt leads the field at 15 under par with a team score of 553. Ole Miss is second, 13 strokes off the lead.
