ACU Homestand Starts at 6 p.m. on Friday

ABILENE – Abilene Christian men's tennis launches its WAC season this weekend with home matches against Grand Canyon at 6 p.m. on Friday and Seattle at 11 a.m. on Sunday. Friday's match was pushed back from a noon start due to high winds.
 
The Wildcats enter the weekend at 9-9 this season. Daniel Morozov, Cesar Barranquero and Savan Chhabra have seven singles wins each to lead the team. The Wildcats are 11-3 this season at No.2 singles, where Morozov has a 7-1 mark.
 
ACU also has found success at No. 1 doubled, going 12-5 on the season. Barranquero and Dario Kmet are 7-2 in that slot.
 
The Cats are 2-1 against Grand Canyon, having won 7-0 at home in 2022.
 
GCU is 4-9 this season but has an impressive win over Air Force under its belt. Alfred Amasi leads the team with five singles wins, mostly at line three.
 
ACU beat Seattle in New Mexico last season, 7-0 and is 2-0 all-time against the Redhawks.
 
Seattle is 4-6 after a 6-1 win over Colorado College last weekend. The Redhawks play at New Mexico State before coming to Abilene.
 
Yu-han Hseih leads SU with a 4-2 singles mark with most of his success coming at No. 5 singles. Clement Hamel and Veselin Kiselkov have forged a 5-2 doubles mark, all at first doubles.
