HUMBLE, Texas – Abilene Christian followed its spring pattern of having its best round in the last round, shooting 298 on Tuesday to finish the All-American, hosted by the University of Houston.

After back-to-back rounds of 306, the Wildcats had a round that more resembled the leaders on Tuesday, picking up 10 birdies on the day. ACU finished 19th in the tournament at 910 – 10 strokes ahead of Texas-Rio Grande Valley and 13 ahead of Rice.

Grégoire Hoyeau led the Wildcats at 73 in the final round, making birdie putts on holes 3, 7 and 15.

Logan Diomede and
Jaime Lewis both shot 74 on the final day. Diomede had birdies on 3, 8 and 10 while Lewis shot one-under on holes 12 and 14.

Thomas Buisson had a final-round 77 with birdies on 9 and 13 and
Brian Comegys finished with an 81.

Buisson, Diomede and Hoyeau all finished the tournament at 10-over (226) and tied for 57th. Hoyeau was one over par at 73 in the final round while Diomede was two over at 74 and Buisson shot a 77.

Buisson had rounds of 73-76-77, Diomede shot 75-77-74 and Hoyeau went 77-76-73.

Jaime Lewis shot 74 on Tuesday and
Brian Comegys had a final round of 81. Lewis had rounds of 81, 77 and 74 for 232 with Comegys checking in at 83-80-81 for 244.

Hoyeau led the team with 11 birdies for the tournament, followed by Diomede with seven, Buisson with six and Lewis with four

Charlie Jackson, competing as an individual, went four-over for the final round for a 76 and a tournament 228 to finish 19th on the leaderboard for individual golfers. He had birdies on holes 6, 7 and 15.

Mississippi, ranked 29th, won the tournament at nine-under (855). Jake Hall of Tennessee won the tournament with a seven-under 209.

"We played a fairly clean final round today," said ACU Head Coach Tom Shaw. "Although our putting is still not where it needs to be, we did exhibit some resilience today by posting our best score of the week on the final round. This is a trademark of good team so I'm pleased with the effort in the final round. It's been a long three-week stretch for us and we're glad to have a little break to fine tune some things before our next tournament at Mississippi State."
