TULSA, Okla. – Abilene Christian picked up its first road win with a convincing 6-1 victory at Oral Roberts on Saturday.

The Wildcats bounced back from a loss on Friday with a strong performance.

"I was looking for a response after last night's loss and I got exactly what I was looking for," said ACU Head Coach Bryan Rainwater. "The energy we brought from the first all the way down was really great to see. That's what we have to have. That was a solid way to end the weekend."

The Wildcats won the doubles point when
Maryjoe Crisologo and
Maria Cascos won, 6-4 to break a 1-1 tie.
Masha Vrsalovic and
Olivia Sears also won, 6-1.

Andrea Guerrero got a quick win at No. 5 singles, 6-0, 6-1, and Sears made quick work of her opponent at No. 3, 6-3, 6-1, giving ACU a 3-1 lead.

Cascos, moving into the fourth line for this match, clinched the win, 6-2, 7-6 (7-2).

Crisologo also won at first singles and
Paula Garrote won a straight-set match at No. 6.

The Wildcats return to action on Feb. 12, visiting TCU to take on the Horned Frogs and San Francisco.
