Rohre surpasses 2,000 career assists as ACU closes out non-conference slate

FORT WORTH, Texas— ACU opened Saturday with another five-set match, playing tight with the host TCU. The Wildcats earned the win in the first two sets but the Horned Frogs came back to get the win in five. After dropping the match to TCU, the Wildcats came out hot against a tough Louisiana squad but after capturing the first set they couldn't get much going after. The Ragin' Cajuns took sets two and three quickly before closing the door with a tight fourth set.

The Wildcats will be back at home next Thursday to begin WAC play. ACU will host Sam Houston on Sept. 22 at 6 p.m. for She Can Be Day at Moody Coliseum. The match will be streamed on ESPN+.

- Bryley Steinhilber led the Wildcats against TCU with 17 kills and added 12 digs for her third double-double of the season. Steinhilber also led the 'Cats with 14 kills against Louisiana.
- Madeline Guffy and Ashli Edmiston also secured double-doubles against TCU, their seventh and fourth of the season, respectively.
- Edmiston also set a new career-high with 18 digs against the Horned Frogs.
- Madison Rohre led the team with 28 assists against TCU and went for a double-double against Louisiana with 22 assists and 10 digs.
- Braden Bossier totaled 10 kills against TCU, registering back-to-back double-digit kill matches for the first time in her career.
- Brea Box matched a career-high with eight blocks in the match against TCU.

- Box moves in to 10th place in the DI era for career block assists with 132.
- Guffy is now up to 20 aces on the year, she needs just three more to move into the top-ten for total aces in a season.
- Steinhilber has reached double-digit kills in each of the last three matches and in four of the team's last five.
- Madison Rohre surpassed 2,000 assists for her career in the second set against Louisiana on an assist to Edmiston in the second set. She now sits at 2,012 total assists for her career.
