Wildcats add wing depth with Chicago State transfer
5/6/2022 1:00:00 PM | Men's Basketball
ABILENE, Texas - The Wildcats have added another elite guard to an already stacked incoming group for the 2022-23 season. Ali Dibba will join the Wildcats out of Chicago State where he averaged 13.4 ppg in five games played, his season cut short due to injury. A versatile athlete on the wing, Dibba will add length and a great scoring punch to help replace what the Wildcats lost with their graduating class.
Welcome to the Wildcat family Ali!

Ali Dibba | 6-4 | G | Stockholm, Sweden / Chicago State
- Averaged 13.4 ppg
- Appeared in five games with two starts for the Cougars
- Named the WAC Freshman of the Week for Dec. 27-Jan. 2 after pouring in 21 points and adding seven rebounds in his collegiate debut
- Member of the Sweden U20 team that won the Nordic Cup in July 2021
- Averaged 13.5 points on 47.8 percent shooting during Nordic Cup play
We are thrilled to add a player like Ali to our program. He adds much needed length on the perimeter and fits in great with our defensive philosophy.Coach Tanner
