HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Brandenburg, who has already secured her spot at Nationals in the shot put, just missed qualifying in the discus with a 15th-place toss of 53.64m (176'). Teammate
Zoe Burleson began the week in 38th but closed it out in 23rd with an effort of 51.92m (170' 4") to wrap up the season.
- WAC champ
Taylor Tolen ended her storied Wildcat career with a 24th-place finish in the quarterfinals of the 100 meter dash, doing so with a time of 11.49.
-
Ella Anttila's triple jump of 12.15m (39' 10 ½") was good enough for 41st individually in the region, and in ACU's final event of the week,
Irene Rono (16:38.58) wrapped up the 5K in 26th place. Rono was just three seconds off being the top finisher from the WAC, while Anttila missed that claim by just one inch.
