DALLAS – The ACU golf team wrapped up the third tournament of the fall on Tuesday, finishing the Trinity Forest Invitational in 16th place as a team. The Wildcats have now taken part in the event for five consecutive years, with newcomer
Karson Grigsby leading the way for the Purple and White.
Grigsby, a freshman and Abilene native, paced the Wildcats with a three-round score of 216, highlighted with a two-under round of 72 on Day Two.
Charlie Jackson was ACU's second finisher at 218, while
Jaime Lewis was on his heels with a score of 223.
Zane Heusel was two strokes behind him, and freshman
Thomas Buisson rounded out the Wildcat scoring with a three-round total of 227.
The Purple and White turned in 49 birdies for the tournament while Grigsby turned in ACU's lone eagle. The Wildcats dominated the long holes, producing a team score of 3-under on par-fives.
ACU will close out the fall campaign in two weeks, when they open the Little Rock Invitational at Chenal Country Club.
