ACU Football Preview: Special Teams

ABILENE – Special teams have been a point of emphasis for the Wildcats this fall, with several returners looking to make an impact in the 2021 season. 
 
KICKING

Blair Zepeda, redshirt sophomore | Richardson, Texas
 

• 6-for-8 in field goal attempts in 2020 
• seven kickoffs for touchbacks last fall
• game-winning 38-yarder as time expired to defeat Mercer (10/31/20)
• career-long of 51 yards (9/14/19 at Central Arkansas)

 
PUNTING

Logan Burke, redshirt senior | Katy, Texas
 

• averaged north of 37 yards per punt in 2020
• two 50+ yard punts vs. Angelo State (11/7/20)
• landed six punts inside the 20 last fall
• season-long of 51 yards vs. Angelo State (11/7/20)

 
RETURN GAME

Jordan Brooks-Wess, redshirt sophomore | Fort Worth, Texas

• 15 kick returns in 2020, averaged 17 yards per return
• season-long 28-yard kickoff return vs. Angelo State (11/7/20)
• four punt returns in 2020, averaged 7.5 yards per return
• season-long 27-yard punt return vs UTEP (9/19/20)
