Wildcats to play in Baha Mar Hoops Nassau Championship Nov. 22-24

NASSAU, The Bahamas – The Wildcats are headed to the Bahamas this fall to participate in the Nassau Championship at the Baha Mar resort. Coming off the best season in program history, and an NCAA Tournament upset of three-seed Texas, Abilene Christian is looking to find similar success in 2021-22. The tournament tips on Monday, Nov. 22 with eight teams in the "Baha Mar Hoops Nassau Championship." The men's tournament, which is designed strictly for mid-major NCAA Division I programs, is in its fourth iteration after launching in 2017.
The opening round pairings for the Nassau Championship are as follows:
The Wildcats will see Jacksonville State for the first time in program history and will face either Coastal Carolina or Valparaiso in the next round. ACU tipped off the 2020-21 season in Estero, Fla. where they went 3-0 and won the Gulf Coast Showcase. This will be the first time the program competes in an international event.
A mere 55-minute flight from Florida, Baha Mar opened in 2017 and is home to three iconic brands: Grand Hyatt, SLS and Rosewood. - 2:30 p.m. – Drexel vs. Tulane
- 5:30 p.m. – Abilene Christian vs. Jacksonville State
