
ACU and DBU collide in non-conference matchup

DALLAS – The ACU wraps up its four-game road trip with a trip to the Metroplex for a non-conference matchup on Saturday, March 20 against Dallas Baptist. The Wildcats (7-5-1, 3-3-0 SLC) take a quick break from league play to battle the Patriots from Division II's Lone Star Conference in the final non-conference matchup of the season. It is ACU's only game of the weekend, and it kicks off at 1 p.m. It is an exhibition match for both teams on Saturday.

SERIES HISTORY
ACU leads the all-time series with DBU 5-2, but the teams are meeting for the first time since 2012. The Patriots won the last matchup, in Dallas, 2-0, but the teams have not met since ACU made the move to Division I in 2013. The series is tied 2-2 all-time in Dallas.
ACU STORYLINES
- JONES, DOUBLE ORDER: Sophomore Natalie Jones scored a pair of goals in ACU's win over Sam Houston Tuesday afternoon in Huntsville. It was her first two scores of the spring, with the latter coming on a PK to to put the game away.
- GETTING THEIR LOOKS: ACU ranks No. 28 in the country this season in shot attempts per game. The Wildcats average 16.3 shot attempts each night, and 7.2 of those are on frame per game, the fourth-highest average in the Southland. ACU is also getting corner kicks at a high rate, averaging 6.0 corner per game, the 46th highest mark in the country and the most in the league.
- MILESTONE: Head coach Casey Wilson, in the midst of his 14th season as the leader of the 'Cats, won his 150th game against McNeese. Wilson sits at 152-96-22 in his tenure as the only coach in program history.
- SMITH SETTING RECORDS: Senior Erin Smith moved into third in ACU history with 162 career saves, and is tied for second in wins with 22. Smith will start her 42nd game on Saturday, the most in program history.
SCOUTING DALLAS BAPTIST (7-0-0, 3-0-0 LSC)
- DBU is a perfect 7-0 on the season, ranks No. 6 in the country at the Division II level, and is coming off a 4-1 win over UT Tyler on Wednesday.
- The Patriots are averaging nearly four goals per game, and are led by a remarkable 11 scores from Ashley Merrill. Marit Auee has scored five goals herself. Kaci Parks leads the team with eight assists.
- Adrianna Schroeder has started five times in net, and has recorded 22 saves.
