ACU student-athletes shine academically in fall 2021

ABILENE – ACU turned in another strong semester in the classroom this fall, with more than 350 student-athletes combining for a 3.26 GPA while earning more than 5,500 credit hours.
"I believe that the dedication to excellence our student-athletes have shown in the classroom is representative of their commitment to success in life," Vice President for Athletics Zack Lassiter said. "This semester reflects ACU's unwavering commitment to develop leaders both on and off the field. I'm proud of their achievements and looking forward to more of the same in the spring."
Men's tennis led all men's teams with a 3.56 GPA this fall, while the women's tennis team led all programs with a 3.73. ACU student-athletes have totaled a 3.0 or better in each of the last 16 semesters dating back to the 2014-15 academic year.
"We are very excited about our overall departmental 3.26 GPA. For the past several semesters, our student-athletes have worked hard in the face of COVID uncertainty," Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance and Student Services Heather Wyatt said. "This fall semester saw a return to more normalcy, so we are proud of how they adapted back to fully in-class instruction."
Team GPAs for the fall semester are as follows:
