ACU XC inks state champion Bornstein

ABILENE, Texas – The ACU cross country team and head coach Jarvis Jelen are excited to announce the signing of Peyton Bornstein for the upcoming season. Bornstein joins the Wildcats from Tolland High School in Connecticut, where she has excelled in both cross country as well as track events.

"I chose ACU because of how welcoming the team was, the warm weather, and the amazing running tradition here," Bornstein said. "I am ready for this adventure."

Bornstein's personal bests include a time of 5:13.54 in the 1600, 11:09.91 in the 3200, and 18:24.23 in the 5K. She is a two-time state champion in the 3200 and has an individual cross country title under her belt, as well.

"Peyton is an all-around great fit for our program," Jelen said. "She will be a key piece in the continued stability and progression of the distance group."
