ABILENE - Abilene Christian Director of Tennis Juan Nunez said Thursday that both the men's and women's teams will have key players back in the Wildcats' lineup this weekend.
Senior and top-line singles and doubles competitor Nini Memishishi will strengthen ACU's women's lineup Friday and Saturday in matches at Baylor (12 p.m.) and Texas A&M ( 5 p.m.), while freshman
Mihaly Deli - a 6-foot-1 lefty from Budapest, Hungary - will be making his collegiate debut for the Wildcats vs. Wichita State (Saturday 9:30 a.m.) and Oklahoma (Sunday 3 p.m.).
"Getting Mihaly back from an injury definitely makes us a different team on the guy's side," said Nunez. "As a tall lefty with a big serve, he makes us a more dangerous team in singles. Having Nini back on the women's side is just as exciting. We've played well the last couple of matches, but now having her at No.1 puts everyone back in a position that automatically makes us stronger."
Former Wildcat
Jonathan Sheehy is on the Sooners' roster this season as a graduate student but he did not appear in their season-opening 7-0 win over Oral Roberts.
All four of this weekend's road matches will offer live video and real-time results.
