Jonathan Sheehy comes into the season with a No. 77 ranking in recognition of his stellar play during the 2019 summer and fall seasons. He won the ITA Summer Circuit Championship, reached the semifinals of the Midland Racquet Club Collegiate Invitational, the quarterfinals of the ITA Texas Regionals, and scored a win over No. 28 Kyle Seelig of Ohio State at the ITA All-America Championships. He completed the fall with a 7-5 record with four of those defeats vs. nationally ranked opposition.
Sheehy is one of nine returning players from last year's team that won the Southland Conference regular-season title behind an undefeated record of 5-0.Â
ACU's women's team also won the league's regular-season crown after winning 10 of 11 duals. They have five returning letter winners from last year's team, including veteran starters Sarah Adams, Nini Memishishi, Ileana Mocciola and Allison Stewart. Â
Stewart, as a freshman, led the team with 16 singles victories and was a perfect 11-0 vs. league opposition.
