ABILENE – Abilene Christian women's tennis continued its winning ways against the Southland Conference Friday on the sun-splashed courts of the Eager Tennis Center, scoring a 6-1 victory over the Colonels of Nicholls State University.
The Wildcats have overall and league records of 9-8 and 5-0, while the Colonels slipped to 2-10 and 0-5 with their lone win courtesy of Stephanie Barnett who defeated ACU's top-line competitor

Everything else, however, went the way of the Purple and White. Memishishi and junior Adams clinched the doubles point at No. 1 with their 6-4 win over Barnett and Lingfeng Gu, while the No. 2 line victory was earned by sophomore

Autumn Crossnoe Bellow, 6-2.
Mocciola and Bellow have won a dozen matches together this spring, and Adams and Memishishi are close behind them with 10 triumphs.
Of the five Wildcats' singles matches this afternoon, three were decided in straight sets as Adams, Bellow and freshman
Allison Stewart won by respective scores of 6-4, 6-1; 6-4, 7-5; and 6-0, 6-3. Stewart has yet to lose a Southland Conference singles match this spring as she's 5-0 at the No. 5 position.
Senior
Jordan Henry at No. 4 rallied from a set down to defeat Antonia Roessli, 5-7, 6-4, 10-5, and Mocciola won her match at No. 6 via retirement up 4-1 in the first set.
Henry is ACU's leader with 11 singles victories.
The Wildcats' four-match conference homestand continues Sunday with a noon match vs. New Orleans. The John T.L. Jones Tennis Building will be open to fans after the dual for a meet-and-greet with ACU coaches and players.
