DALLAS - Abilene Christian men's tennis lost 4-0 to the Mustangs in an abbreviated dual that served as the 2018 season opener for both teams Friday evening at the SMU Tennis Complex.
The Wildcats lost the doubles points with defeats at the No. 2 and 3 positions, and dropped the match after falling at the No. 1, 3 and 6 singles positions. The remaining three matches were left unfinished, and sophomore
Jonathan Sheehy was the lone Wildcat leading his contest when the dual was clinched by the Mustangs.
ACU's non-conference gauntlet continues Monday with a Lubbock-based doubleheader. There the Wildcats will face both UT Permian Basin (10:30 a.m.) and No. 24 Texas Tech (3:30 p.m.).
