SAN ANTONIO – The ACU Wildcats are back on the road this Saturday to take on Incarnate Word in a Southland Conference contest at Benson Stadium. The game is scheduled for a 6 p.m. kickoff and can be seen on TV on ESPN College Extra, online at ESPN3 and heard locally on 98.1 FM.

The Wildcats are 1-3 overall and 1-1 in league play after dropping a 20-10 decision to Stephen F. Austin last Saturday in the second of two straight games to open Anthony Field at Wildcat Stadium. The Wildcats won the first game played there, 24-3, vs. Houston Baptist on Sept. 16, but never found any rhythm last week against the Lumberjacks.

Incarnate Word is 0-3 overall and 0-1 in league play, but enjoyed a bye week last week after a tough 37-31 loss to SFA on Sept. 16. The Cardinals led 31-21 in the fourth quarter before SFA rallied to tie the game and then win it 37-31 on a 70-yard interception return for a touchdown on the game's final play.

The Wildcats are winless on the road for the last two-plus seasons (0-6 in 2015, 0-6 in 2016 and 0-2 in 2017) and carry a 14-game road losing streak into Saturday's game at Incarnate Word. ACU's last road win was a 37-35 win over then-No. 24 Stephen F. Austin on Nov. 15, 2014.
