ABILENE – Abilene Christian's sixth annual Wildcat Caravan begins its three-day, five-city trek across Texas on Tuesday, July 19, with a stop in Houston followed by a stop in San Antonio and then moving north along the I-35 corridor.
This year's caravan will again feature director of athletics Lee De León and head football coach Ken Collums, who is preparing for his fifth season as the Wildcats' leader. Also appearing at each of the five stops on the caravan will be men's head basketball coach Joe Golding and women's basketball head coach Julie Goodenough, both of whom are coming off successful seasons and looking forward to promising 2016-17 campaigns.
Fans will also hear from De Leon about the revamped Wildcat Club, which was launched in January, and will also get a first look at the Wildcats' new football home and away uniforms from Nike, ACU's new supplier of all practice, sideline and game apparel. Collums, Golding, Goodenough and other head coaches will be on hand to talk about their teams and answer questions from fans.
