Southland Conference football preview to be on ESPN3 Wednesday

LAKE CHARLES, La. – The Southland Conference Football Preview, a two-hour show from the league's Football Media Day, which will be carried Wednesday on ESPN3 at 7 p.m. The 2016 Southland Football Media Day will take place at L'Auberge Resort in Lake Charles, La.
Coaches and student-athletes from all 11 Southland football-playing institutions will participate. ESPN3's preview show will be hosted by Lincoln Rose, one of the play-by-play announcers for Southland events. He'll be joined by Kamady Rudd, co-host of The Great Big Morning Show on Shreveport's KQHN-FM.
"We are excited to begin the 2016 season with the Southland Conference Football Preview on ESPN3," league Commissioner Tom Burnett said. "Coming off the most televised year in Southland history, we are excited to kick another year off with our primary broadcast partner, and look forward to again promoting our outstanding football programs, coaches and student-athletes to a wide audience."
ESPN3 is ESPN's live multi-screen sports network, a destination that delivers thousands of exclusive sports events annually. It is accessible online at WatchESPN.com, on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app and streamed on televisions through Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The network is currently available to more than 99 million homes at no additional cost to fans who receive their high-speed Internet connection or video subscription from an affiliated service provider. The network is also available at no cost to approximately 21 million U.S. college students and U.S.-based military personnel via computers, smartphones and tablets connected to on-campus educational and on-base military broadband and Wi-Fi networks.
In addition to the ESPN3 primetime show, the Southland Digital Network will offer live coverage of press conferences throughout Wednesday's event, beginning with Commissioner Burnett's opening comments at 8 a.m. Streaming video can be found at Southland.org/watch and the Southland Conference app for smartphone and tablets.
Student-athletes will also take part in broadcasts on Facebook Live throughout the day. Fans can interact with players via FB.com/southlandconference or by searching Southland Conference on the Facebook app.
Student-athletes set to attend include Abilene Christian linebacker Sam Denmark and running back De'Andre Brown, Central Arkansas wide receivers Desmond Smith and Jatavious Wilson, Houston Baptist linebacker Garrett Dolan and running back Terrance Peters, UIW linebacker Josh Zellars and wide receiver/punt returner Jordan Hicks, Lamar running back Kade Harrington and offensive lineman Bret Treadway, and McNeese wide receiver Kent Shelby and tight end Zach Hetrick.
Also on hand will be Nicholls quarterback Tuskani Figaro and defensive back B.T. Sanders, Northwestern State offensive lineman Terrance Boyd and defensive end JeMarcus Marshall, Sam Houston State quarterback Jeremiah Briscoe and defensive end P.J. Hall, Southeastern Louisiana full back Juwaan Rogers and linebacker Tre' Bennett, plus Stephen F. Austin defensive end John Franklin and safety Patrick Martin.
