Live Audio (98.1 FM) l Live Audio / Video l Live StatsABILENE – The ACU Wildcats will close out the 2015-16 season Saturday afternoon when they host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in the final game of a season-ending three-game homestand.
The Wildcats are 13-17 overall and 8-9 in the Southland Conference, while the second-place Islanders enter the game at 23-6 overall and 14-3 in the Southland. The Islanders will be the No. 2 seed in the Southland Conference Post-Season Tournament, which begins next week in Katy.
Saturday's season finale is set for a 4:30 p.m. tipoff, and the game can be heard on KTLT 98.1 FM The Ticket with The Voice of the Wildcats

The Wildcats need a win to finish .500 in conference play for the first time since the 2007-08 team finished 6-6 in Lone Star Conference play. And, with 13 wins overall, the Wildcats have already won more games in a season than in any season since the 2007-08 Wildcats finished 20-9.

The Wildcats continue to be led in scoring by freshman guard
Jaylen Franklin, who ranks among Southland leaders in scoring at 16.3 points per game, field goal percentage (51.6 percent) and steals (50). Franklin needs 28 points in the season finale to become the first Wildcat player since Hakim Rasul (649 points in 2004-05) and David Baxter (542 points in 2004-05) to score at least 500 points.
