ABILENE – Ninety Abilene Christian fall season student-athletes representing cross country, football, soccer and volleyball Wednesday were placed on the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll for posting a term grade-point average above 3.0.
Among the notable Wildcats to make this prestigious list were Southland Student-Athletes of the Year
Sam Denmark (FB) and Alexandria Hackett (XC) plus Capital One / CoSIDA Third Team Academic All-America honoree
Kelsie Roberts (WSOC).
All 14 volleyball players made the honor roll led by 4.0 student-athletes
Kendall Bosse,
Mikai Brown,
Sarah Siemens and
Jacey Smith. Volleyball recorded the highest team GPA of all 14 ACU sports with a 3.64. Soccer registered a team GPA of 3.50, while the men's and women's cross country teams posted respective GPAs of 3.40 and 3.37.
In addition to the aforementioned volleyball student-athletes, seven cross-country runners, four football players and nine soccer standouts also attained perfect GPAs.
Overall, ACU's seven men's teams posted a combined term GPA of 3.0 while the women's teams were slightly better at 3.17.
