Final Results
LOS CABOS, Mexico – The ACU Wildcats shot a final-round 322 on Tuesday as they finished 14th at the SMU Querencia Cabo Collegiate at the Los Cabos Querencia Golf Club.
The Wildcats finished the three-day, 54-hole tournament at 961 overall after shooting rounds of 321-318-322 in a field that featured some of the top teams in the country.
Defending national champion and top-ranked Alabama saw its 11-match winning streak snapped by Houston, which beat the Crimson Tide by one stroke.
Alabama shot the lowest round of the day with a 2-over 286 on the par-71, 6,945-yard Querencia Golf Club to finish at 12-over 864, but Houston's 6-over 290 was enough to hold on for the win at 863. Baylor finished third at 18-over 870, Kentucky was fourth at 872 while Vanderbilt and SMU rounded out the top five at 875 (+23).
ACU junior
Corbin Renner posted the Wildcats' lowest three-day total at 228 after shooting a final-round 77 on the par-71 course. Senior
Trey Sullivan shot a 232 over the three days after a final-round 79.
Kaden Walters was 73rd at 248, while
Luke Carpenter and
Ian Evans finished tied for 77th at 262.
The Wildcats are off until the Arkansas-Little Rock First Tee Classic, which will be played Mardch 24-25 at the Chenal Country Club in Little Rock, Ark.
